Fender is a household brand name. While they do sell top-shelf, high priced instruments, they do have a great selection of electric and acoustic instruments at lower cost. Look up their entry-level brand, “Squier”. Search “Fender Squier Bass” - if you’re in the 200-300 range, you should be golden!
